機械制造及自動化專業包括了三部分內容:機械設計、機械制造、機械自動化,行業內部分別稱為機設、機制、機電。

1、機械制造及自動化系于1972年由“機械制造教研室”和“金屬工藝學教研室”組建而成。經過40多年的建設和發展,機械制造及自動化系已發展成為一個涉及領域寬廣的高水平科研和教學基地。
